The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued warnings regarding the potential risks to health, particularly for young children and vulnerable individuals. Following careful consideration and consultation between Alumwell Infant School and Alumwell Junior School, we have made the difficult decision to close both schools to pupils from 1.15pm (Infants) and 1.30 pm (Juniors) on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June 2026.

We appreciate that this decision may cause inconvenience for families and we have not taken it lightly. However, we are confident that it is the safest course of action for our school community.
